THE funeral of seven-year-old Carwyn Scott-Howell who died while on a family skiing holiday in Flaine in the French Alps will take place at St Mary's Church in Abergavenny on Friday at noon

The service is intended to be a celebration of ' the short but busy life of Carwyn' and the family has asked for bright colours to be worn to the service - especially blue, red or purple, which were his favourites.

Donations in memory of Carwyn can be made to Wales Air Ambulance and Brecon Beacons Mountain Rescue. There will be a "collection bucket" at the church on Friday were the donations can be made.

An inquest into Carwyn's death was opened last week and adjourned by Deputy Coroner for Gwent Wendy James, until June 22.
