Co-op members and customers have shown their kindness and generosity with this week’s Easter Appeal for Launceston Foodbank.

Following a request for donation, a wide range of chocolate eggs and Easter goodies have been donated in the Launceston Co-op Stores.

After taking the donations down to Launceston Foodbank on Thursday, March 30, Member Pioneer for Coop (The Coop Community role), Gemma Massey said: “I am blown away by the generosity shown by our members. Following the success of our Christmas Toy Appeal, we knew we wanted to offer something extra to the foodbank for the Easter holidays, to go alongside our regular customer donations and also the Co-op Food waste which is donated.

“I have just delivered a vast array of Easter treats to Yvonne and the team and hope these extra goodies may bring a few extra smiles in our community during the Easter break. Thank you, everyone, for your donations.”

Donations will now be distributed by the Foodbank team, into their food parcels over the Easter holidays.
