New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Cornwall’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

India Restaurant & Takeaway, at India, 3 Wendron Street, Helston, Cornwall was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 23.

And Sams In The City, at 1 - 2 New Bridge Street, Truro, Cornwall was also given a score of four on October 23.

It means that of Cornwall's 1,611 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 1,280 (79%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
