Jacobstow Women's Institute came first at the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Show, this being the third time in ten years. There were 33 women's institutes throughout Cornwall taking part. The theme was 'A Good Read' and the book Jacobstow chose was 'The Darling Buds of May' by H E Bates. The silver cup and plate were presented by the Duchess of Cornwall to Mrs Jen Spettigue and Mrs Pat Lane. This making 2010 Royal Cornwall Show for Jacobstow WI very special.
