Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust is due to launch its first ever regional careers fair in March 2023, and is calling on local businesses to come and take part.
The Fair, designed for more than 2,500 students in Years 9 to 12 from the Trust’s three secondary colleges — Holsworthy Community College, Okehampton College and Tavistock College — will take place on Wednesday, March 8, and Thursday, March 9, at The Ashbury Hotel near Okehampton.
With more than 100 trade stands, a programme of speakers for students to experience, bespoke sessions for SEN students, and an open evening for parents to attend, the Trust is confident it will be a successful event and of huge benefit to its young people.
Businesses who would like to take part are able to complete the following form to register their interest: forms.office.com/r/TLFgTeZWWH
Given this is the Trust’s inaugural event, DMAT is not charging organisations for their stands. However, should they wish to, businesses can donate as part of their corporate social responsibilities by sharing further details through the form.
The venue will be open from 6pm on March 7 for setting up or from 7.30am on March 8. Accommodation is also on offer for those that require it, at the sister Manor Hotel with the discount code ‘DMAT’. Call 0800 458 3026 to book.

Dan Morrow, Trust leader for Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust, said: “We’re hugely excited for this event next year, and are already pleased with the number of organisations who are due to come and speak to our brilliant students.
“This event will be the largest of its kind in the Torridge and West Devon areas and will bring in students from a wide geographical area and often from very rural areas – thereby providing them with a unique and hugely important opportunity to see the careers which may be available to them.”
