A CREW from Delabole Community Fire Station was called to rescue a horse trapped in a ditch at Pendoggett just after 10am on Wednesday, August 9.

They were joined by colleagues from Bodmin Fire Station and a whole time officer.

It is believed the horse fell into the ten-foot deep trench/ditch and was unable to get itself out.

On arrival the crews cleared the area and recused the horse. The horse, an unbroken mare, is said to be safe and well, recovering from its ordeal in the field.
