A FARM near Blakeney which housed a dog breeding establishment has been put up for sale with a price tag of £2.25million.
Grade II* listed Hagloe House Farm comes complete with an estate that measures a spacious 146 acres.
Agents Savills said: "Hagloe House sits in a commanding position with the house at the centre of the land and panoramic views over the River Severn to the east and the Forest of Dean to the west. The farm extends to approximately 146 acres (59 hectares) and is situated on the eastern edge of the village of Blakeney with the house and buildings being approached by a private driveway. Situated in a rural, but accessible location, the property offers great opportunity to create a secluded residential farm.
"A Grade II* listed farmhouse dating back to the 18th century with a wealth of history and period features. Hagloe House would benefit from some modernisation and offers an exciting opportunity to create a substantial family home."
The house and farm came under considerable media interest last year after owner Margaret Davis failed in a bid to the Forest of Dean District Council to continue breeding dogs on the property.
Protesters against the dog breeding business had gathered at the hearing, and celebrated the ban.
