St Endellion Church are hosting Bristol-based dreamfolk trio, Hands of the Heron, supported by folk singer, Anna Anise on Friday, October 4.
Hands of the Heron’s instantly recognisable vocal harmonies are delivered by three frontwomen - Bec Garthwaite, Beth Roberts and Claire Vine - each of whom brings a signature writing style to the band’s mercurial sound. They move effortlessly between sparse choral folk and spellbinding chamber pop, richly layered with an assortment of strings, drones and reeds.
The trio have played a diverse range of festivals. Recent shows include a sold-out Bristol headline show in September 2022 as part of the prestigious Outlandish Nights series, alongside Lisa O’Neill and Mikey Kenney.
Anna is a singer of feel-good folk songs, alongside the traditional jigs and reels from which she finds inspiration for her storytelling songwriting. Her recent single, Overexposed, earnt her radio plays on BBC Upload and BBC Introducing.
