A CHARITY night replete with entertainment from ‘Elvis’ raised more than £2,000 for two Holsworthy charities.

Holsworthy Amateur Theatrical Society (HATS) and Friends of Holsworthy Primary School will benefit from the proceeds of the mayor’s charity night event.

Cllr Nigel Kenneally, the mayor of Holsworthy said after the event: “Thank you to everyone who came to my mayor's charity event tonight. Special thanks to Holsworthy Town Council staff, Jon Hutchings and the Pop Up Bar Company staff, fellow councillors, DJ Pasty Co. Events Hire Ian and Helen Parker and lastly Andy James aka Elvis Presley.

“It was a truly special evening that raised over £2000 for Holsworthy Amateur Theatrical Society and Friends of Holsworthy Primary School. Two local groups that I am very proud to support.”
