LAUNCESTON-based firm TR Electrical brought some good cheer to young children in the town during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic by donating ten Easter treat bags.

Owner, Toby Rattray explains all.

Toby said: “I’ve got two young children myself and me and my wife, with everything going on, thought it’d be a lovely idea for people with self-isolating children and to show that people in the community do care.

“We chose items which were sealed, so we put in sealed chocolate eggs, a decorative chick, stickers and small sweets such as Haribo.

“We advertised what we were doing on our Facebook page so that parents of vulnerable children could come forward, and then we went and delivered them in a safe way, such as in their doorsteps or a nearby place.”

Toby admits the reaction was great.

He said: “It’s been really positive. We had one family send us a picture back which was lovely and also had photos sent to my Facebook, including some of some children who were having a story read to them of a chick and a bunny.”

Toby hopes that once the pandemic is over, they can do some more.

He said: “Once this is done we may look into doing it again as a cheer up for everyone.

“I’d just like everyone to stay safe and keep positive.”
