IT has been confirmed that the driver involved in a single vehicle collision this morning (August 3) on the A395 near Laneast has sadly died.

Police were called shortly before 7am today to the A395 between the turnoffs for Laneast and Tresmeer following reports of a single vehicle collision.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson confirmed: "A man was reported to have sustained serious injuries and he was later confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed."

The road is still closed whilst emergency services remain at the scene.
