There was a convivial atmosphere at Cresswell Quay on Friday when the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot held their annual pig roast there in idyllic weather conditions. The sun was shining and the conditions all came together to create an enjoyable occasion for all.
The focus of attention was a genuine pig roast, but there were also beef-burgers available. For those that weren't hungry, there was the duck race. The duck race created a colourful spectacle as they cruised along, with the outgoing tide, towards the Quay and the watching crowd near the finish line.
Members of the Rotary Club of Saundersfoot were delighted with the support from the public on the night and expressed their thanks and best wishes to pub licensees, John and Colin, for allowing the club to use their excellent facilities in the Quay car park.
The profits raised at the event will be used to support work by the Rotarians in the local community and international projects such as polio eradication.
