A GOVERNMENT inspector has been accused of "driving a coach and horses" through East Hampshire District Council's planning policy after giving the go ahead at appeal for another 75 homes to be built in south Medstead.
She said East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) had failed to demonstrate a five-year supply of deliverable housing sites – a claim it firmly denies.
Angered at the decision to allow CALA Homes (Southern Home Counties) to build on a near four-hectare site outside the settlement policy boundary, east of 20 to 38 Lymington Bottom Road, county councillor Mark Kemp Gee (Alton Rural) described the appeal decision as a "very sad day for Medstead and Four Marks".
