Discover the relationship between local literary genius Dennis Potter and his audience in Ross and the Forest of Dean at Ross Library on Tuesday, May 19th.

This celebration of a great local talent who would have been 80 this coming Sunday has been organised by the Ross Library Development Group.

In what should be a fascinating evening, Jason Griffiths and Hannah Grist of the University of Gloucestershire will explore the relationship between Potter and his local audience as mirrored in the local papers, and look at the significance of the Dennis Potter Archive as a spring-board for creativity to blossom once again in the area, exploring some of the exciting projects already inspired by the Archive.

The talk is backed by an exhibition of materials kindly provided by the Forest of Dean Heritage Centre, which is on at the library until May 23rd.
