IN memory of their former chairman, the Launceston Detectorists held a prize draw and quiz night in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.
The chairman of Launceston Detectorists Keith Sampsons said: “Chairman of Launceston Detectorists (yours truly) handed a cheque for £225 to St Luke’s manager, Karen Missen, in memory and with thanks for the care and support given to our past chairman, Rik Jones and his family.
“The money was raised by the club on a prize draw and quiz night by its members. Also thanks to the various sponsors and contributors for their support.”
The sponsors included: Phil Warren and son, butchers; Eliot Arms (Chris Hume); Crawford Metal Detectors, Scunthorpe; and Duchy Detectors, Truro.
