A Military Museum war machines weekend was held at Davidstow last week.
The military vehicle convoy, on its way to Treligga Airfield stopped off in Delabole to meet up with a full size replica model of a Spitfire belonging to renowned aviation artist Barry Wallond from St Mawgan, Newquay.
The spitfire was originally manufactured in Delabole and built by Cornish specialist manufacturer Gateguards Ltd who specialise in making limited edition replica aircraft, including the full size 'Airfix' spitfire that featured recently in a James May (Top Gear fame) TV series.
