WHY are so many councils spraying or cutting roadside verges? Surely this only needs to be done if motorists' views at junctions are obstructed?
Is it any wonder that there are no bees or butterflies when we are cutting down all the flowers they depend on?
The money would be put to better use by making road markings clearer.
During a recent drive through Wales it was a joy to see that the verges were untouched and the profusion of wild flowers and colours were beautiful.
So please, please folks stop spraying.
By the way has anyone got any glow-worms they would like to share with me? I can't remember when I last saw a ladybird either.
