The following reports are from the latest assault cases dealt with by local magistrates and the Crown Court:
JEAN-LUC COOMBE, 25, of Molinnis Road, Bugle pleaded not guilty to assaulting a woman by beating at Bodmin on 23 January and to destroying three doors belonging to Cornwall Council. His trial will be on 20 September and a condition of bail is that he must not go to Bodmin apart from to attend court hearings.
RICHARD ROSEVEAR, 39, of Gilbert Road, Bodmin pleaded guilty to assaulting a man in Camborne last May by beating. He was made subject to a community order and must have mental health treatment, abstain from consuming alcohol for 30 days and have treatment for his drug dependency. He was ordered to pay £200 compensation and a £95 victim surcharge.
SHAUN PHILP, 28, of Green Lane, Bodmin pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman by beating at St Wenn and damaging her mobile phone last November and to damaging trees at St Wenn in November and February. Sentence was adjourned until 26 August for reports.
