A couple from Launceston are hosting a ‘Cream Tea in the garden’ to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
Jayne and Chris Biddle are opening up their garden on Saturday, June 15.
Back in 2020, the couple planned to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary by hosting a barn dance in aid of CHSW, which was cancelled due to the pandemic. Their desire to do something for the charity, however, has not gone away.
They’re now busy planning this event to raise the much needed funds for the children and young people with life limiting conditions that use Little Harbour children’s hospice in Porthpean, St Austell.
Alice Merrett, Area Fundraiser for CHSW, said: “We are so grateful that Jayne and Chris have chosen to support us. Little Harbour costs around £3-million a year to run, so whether your donation is big or small, it makes all the difference.”
The event will be held at 7c Roydon Road, Launceston with an alternative wet weather venue of Launceston Community Church where visitors will receive an equally warm welcome.
Come and support Jayne and Chris at their cream tea in the garden, and if anyone is interested in hosting their own cream tea event visit wwww.chsw.org.uk/creamtea
