THANK you for publishing my letter regarding the council acting illegally. Now the public is aware that the council thinks it can change the law to suit itself and its position is out in the open.
I wonder what the people at Allaston or Lydney or all the people against the college, hotel etc on their beautiful nature reserve think? They were deprived the opportunity of effectively lobbying their councillor because these planning issues were not discussed before the full council.
They illegally fence off an area on the nature reserve. Yes, it was illegal because they did not place the statutory notices up for a length of time before erecting the fence.
Then they have the cheek to try and prosecute one of their own councillors for quite lawfully going through a gap in the fence.
I've tried to get the council ombudsman to look into the illegal actions of the council.
He replied that as I was not personally affected he could not look into the matter for me.
The police were no help to me when I reported the illegality to them. Quite the opposite because they served two separate harassment notices on me which originated from the council.
I immediately called their bluff on that by repeating the so-called harassment. Of course they could not prosecute me because all my harassment amounted to was pointing out that they were acting illegally. Happy days.
