NEWTON Abbot's livestock market could be a thing of the past within two years and the town hall and museum relocated to the Passmore Edwards Centre.

There are plans to relocate the market if possible, but hopes that the Passmore Edwards Centre would attract more community use have failed, it was said this week.

The public called for a community centre in the Local Plan and the situation now means there is a stronger chance of the town council uprooting from its Devon Square home to the town centre.
