A NEW consultation is to be run by Bude-Stratton Town Council to see if it can redevelop one of the town’s play parks.

The council has announced a new community consultation which aims to gather ideas and feedback for the redevelopment of the vacant area at Katy’s Corner in the Bencoolen play park.

The initiative seeks to engage local residents and park users in shaping the future of this community space.

Following updates to the play area, a portion of Katy’s Corner remains unused, however, the town council has expressed its commitment to ensuring that any developments meet the needs of the community.

Cllr Kevin Colwill explained: “We believe that the best way to create a space that everyone can enjoy is by involving the community in the planning.

“We are excited to hear the ideas and suggestions from local residents on how to make the most of this space.”

The survey includes questions about usage, potential activities, equipment, facilities, and ideas for enhancing greenery through tree planting.

From August 1, the survey can be accessed on the council’s website or by completing a printed form. Printed copies will be available at key locations including the Parkhouse Centre, Bude Library, and The Castle.

Deadline for feedback is August 31.
