LIFTON Primary School recently held their annual Fun Day, including a duck race and a variety of different fun activities for the entire community to enjoy.
With the day taking place on Saturday, July 2, people from across the village and the area came along to support the event. A delicious barbeque, stalls, face painting, a duck race and an auction and raffle were just some of the fun activities that everyone got stuck into, as well as support from the Sea Scouts.
With possibly the biggest turnout of people the village has seen, the event raised £1,800 to fund future theatre trips, extra curricula fun activities for the school children and new school resources.
Melanie Cripps, head teacher of Lifton Primary School, said: “It went really well, and we had the best turnout of people that we’ve seen for a long time. It was something that really brought the community together, and I’m very pleased with how it went. It’s made a tremendous difference to the school.”
