Tesco’s ‘Community Champion’ for Launceston has thanked the generosity of customers after a successful Poppy Appeal raised £14,913.41.
The Royal British Legion, volunteers and the mayor were among those who took part.
Shelly Vanstone said: “We were absolutely astounded by the £14,913.41 that was collected at the store for this year’s Poppy Appeal. The generosity of our customers is just phenomenal. The majority of the credit has to go to Harry Colville, who was at the store every day and organised the collection, and his team of volunteers without whom this wouldn’t have been possible.”
