The annual Flower Festival in Lifton church was held over the bank holiday weekend. The theme this year was ‘Our Feathered Friends’. A spokesman for the event said: “We had a lovely variety of birds interpreted in arrangements from the garden robin to the more exotic flamingo.” There was a wonderful display of birds from the children of Lifton Primary School. A concert by the Lifton Singers with Rosemary Turner and the church choir was well attended on the Sunday evening. A total of £650 was raised for the church funds. Thanks have been extended to all those who participated and attended. Pictured with the display entitled ‘Peacock’, created by Ann Dyke, are organisers Gill Whitford and Pat Pollard.
