SINCE February, Tesco stores in Launceston, Callington, Tavistock, Kingsbridge and across Plymouth have been fundraising for St Luke’s Hospice.
On Thursday, April 26, Shelley Vanstone and Carole Gordon from the Launceston store held a coffee morning at the British Legion building in Launceston. Sarah-Jane Butler came along to help and colleagues from the store kindly helped bake cakes and donate prizes for the raffle.
The coffee was previously planned to take place in March, but was cancelled due to the snow!
Shelley, who is community champion at the store, expressed thanks to Toni, a volunteer from the St Luke’s Hospice shop in the town, and the customers, friends and family that came along to support the event — £240 was raised for the hospice.
