St Stephen the Martyr Church in Launceston held summer fundraiser to raise money for improvements.

The church held their summer fundraiser which helped raise money for improvements inside the church building. Speaking about the event, Evelyn Gabriel said: “For many weeks a loyal band of helpers had been making preparations for this most enjoyable annual event.

“All the usual stalls were set up including Cakes, Tombola, Giant Raffle, Gifts, Books, Plants, Coffee and Tea and biscuits and Light Lunches.

“It is always an enjoyable occasion and an important social event where church members are joined by our many friends and supporters.”

The event was a big success, raising more than £500 for the St Stephens Appeal, Evelyn explained: “Over £500 was raised for St Stephens Appeal. Whilst work on the church roof is nearing completion, funds are needed to enable us to make improvements inside the church building.”
