CHILDREN'S services at Surrey County Council have have been rated inadequate by Ofsted inspectors, after finding "widespread and serious failures that potentially leave children at risk of harm".

The inspection was carried out in October and November 2014, four years after their previous inspection of services for looked-after children, where they were rated adequate.
