PEOPLE in Bude will now be able to receive information about the bathing water quality of their local beach at the touch of a button.

Working in partnership with Volunteer Cornwall, Cornwall Rural Community Council, Coast – One Plant Tourism, the Environment Agency has developed and installed an interactive touch screen display at the entrance to Summerleaze Beach.

With only two years to go until bathing waters need to meet much tougher standards under the new European Bathing Water Directive, this is part of the work being carried out to move Summerleaze Beach from 'Good' to 'Excellent' bathing water status by 2015 by delivering the Bude Cleaner Seas

Project.
