SEVEN Bude National Westminster staff members held a 40-year reunion at the Falcon Hotel in October to celebrate Basil Cowling's 40 years in the bank.

He started at the Bude branch as a 17-year-old on October 1, 1973, when Jimmy Hole was manager. Basil is now one of the business managers based in South Devon.
