THE first Crackington Carnival for 12 years proved to be a great spectacle.

The carnival traces it’s roots back to just after the Second World War had ended in 1945 and has been revived by the community who have created an afternoon and evening of family fun and music.

Committee member Heather Smith said: “The parades, stalls, bands, venue and weather all contributed to its success. The community came together, the local businesses all helped and the car parks were full.

“Big thanks to owners for allowing use of the Dam Field for the Fete and Carrs Field as assembly point and all those lovely old tractors.”
