CAMELFORD Town Council is delighted to be working with Cornwall Council towards the transfer of the library to the town council.

Following a number of consultations in the town to find out residents’ views over the future of the facility, the town council agreed to take the library on.

Mayor, Rob Rotchell, said: “I am delighted that this work has started. This is just the beginning of the process and it will take a number of months before the process is completed.

“We had a clear mandate from the people of the town to take the library over, and I am sure that with the support of my town council colleagues, the town trust who own the building, and Cornwall Council, we will secure a successful transfer of the service.”
