ENJOYED by many, this year’s Camelford senior citizens’ lunch saw the community come together before the annual celebration of the Christmas lights switch-on later in the evening.

A fantastic time was had by all on Saturday, November 26, in Camelford. The lights switch-on saw events taking place for both young and old all day.

The senior citizens’ Christmas lunch was once again well supported with 50 guests attending for a traditional lunch, beautifully prepared and cooked by Peggy Ellison, whilst local Brownies and Guides served and cleared.

A prize draw took place and Mrs Thelma White was the winner of the Cornish hamper.

Chair of Camelford’s events working group, Kirsty Ferguson, told the Post: “It went very well on Saturday. We were very lucky with the senior citizens’ lunch, where the guests ate a delicious lunch, which I think they all enjoyed.”
