After hearing some concerns about the accumulation of litter in certain areas of Camelford, PCSO Sam Smith was able to work in partnership with Debbie Atwell (Street Ranger) and the Camelford Police Cadets to assist in cleaning up the streets. Despite the hot weather, the cadets were successful in helping to clean up the area. PCSO Smith said: "Well done guys. It was a great to be able to bring the cadets out into Camelford as part of Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. The cadets have been busy behind the scenes learning how to work as a team, drill, officer safety training, diversity, radio procedures and recently had the pleasure of visiting the custody suite in Launceston." There are currently three vacancies within the cadets, and if any young person is interested in joining the team, please contact PCSO Smith at Camelford Police Station on 01840 213709.
