A SPOOKY time was had by all at Camelford Library on Saturday, October 30.

Camelford Town Council held their annual Pumpkins on Parade Celebration. There were spider web crafts, Halloween themed colouring and spooky stories told by the Mayor Robert Rotchell and library staff. Prizes were awarded for the best adult and best child fancy dress with Lexi McConnell and Teddy Thomas taking home the prizes for their witch and Werewolf outfits.

Judging for the best carved pumpkin was not an easy task, however Jamie, Sian, Rose and Flo the new owners of Stephens Home Hardware bravely took on the task awarding 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes to Deegan, Alana and Ernie.

There were many wonderful pumpkins to choose from and every child went home with a Halloween themed goody bag and spooky shaped cookie.

During half term week the second Annual Scarecrow Trail had also taken place in Camelford with prizes for Commercial and Family entries.

First place Commercial was given to Stephens Home Hardware for their Postman Pat and Jess the cat entry, runner up going to Little Acorns for their scarecrows of a staff member and child.

Family winner were the Dawe family for their Nightmare Before Christmas Scarecrow and runner up awarded to the Lane family for their entry of a farmer.

Camelford Town Council would like to thank all those who sponsored this event by donating prizes, without these generous donations these events would not be able to take place.
