BUDE Motor Club's second Classic Car Show, in aid of the Cornwall Air Ambulance, took place at the Rugby Ground in the centre of Bude on Sunday, June 6,and was an outstanding success.

Despite a distinctly unsettled weather forecast, people turned up in their hundreds to view the superb display of vehicles old and new that were on show.

One hundred and eighteen entries turned up on the day much to the delight of the organisers, ranging from a 1920s Bull Nose Morris, right up to the very latest Audi R8 V10 Sports Coupe.

One of the stars of the show was an original ŒWO‚ Bentley sports car from the 1920s, similar to the cars that used to race in the famous 24 hour Le Mans driven by the ŒBentley Boys.

The weather luckily stayed dry for the whole day, and everyone went away feeling very happy — especially as a substantial amount of money was raised for the Air Ambulance, Bude Motor Club's chosen charity for 2010.

Winners of the two categories of vehicles on show were a beautiful locally owned MG ŒYA‚ Sports Saloon, and an immaculate Ford Mustang muscle car.

Many thanks to all those who helped in the organisation and running of the event — and special thanks to Bude Rugby Club, together with Stu Bell and his team, for providing such a superb venue and looking after us all so well.
