A BUDE lady has enjoyed a royal tea party at Buckingham Palace recently.

Margaret Frost was accompanied to the garden party by her daughter Michelle.

She appeared to be less than impressed by the deconstructed cream teas — no match for Margaret’s own served at her rustic tea gardens at Northcott Mouth!

Margaret was invited to the palace after being awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) at the beginning of the year, and being included on the Queen’s honours list, for to her dedication and sheer community spirit for the Bude area.

Speaking about the day, Margaret said: “It was absolutely unbelievable! Once we’d been through security, we were able to have a look around the gardens — it was a really lovely day.”
