A BRASS instrumental workshop was organised by the Salvation Army and held recently at Launceston Town Hall.

With musicians from across Devon and Cornwall taking part, it was a chance for the Salvation Army to review its mission within local settings.

Salvation Army’s Divisional Mission Enabler, Robert Elliott, said: “The rehearsal on today is to explore the setting of the Devon and Cornwall Divisional Band as an effective resource to the Division. Its function will be to embrace and advance the mission of the Salvation Army in Devon and Cornwall in local settings.

“For its members, there will be a spirit of encouragement and unity within its fellowship. The Divisional band will seek to share together in the joy of music and to uphold the mission of the Salvation Army within its ministry.”

Robert added: “Membership is open to anyone who is in agreement with the aims, values and objectives of The Salvation Army.”
