Boyton CP held its annual summer fete on Friday, June 21 to raise money for school funds. During the day’s events, where the school held a variety of different activities, they managed to raise an impressive £580.
The summer fete was put on by the PTA of the school and was ran by Fliss Roberts the chairperson of the PTA, with a lot of help from other PTA members, staff and parents.
Fliss said: “We put on a barbecue, cream teas, ice cream, raffle, bric a brac, tombola, hook a duck, face painting, glitter tattoos and other stalls.
“The day also had a bouncy castle kindly donated by Steve Naish.”
The sun was shining throughout the day, and was well supported by parents and locals, as the fete was open to the public.
The day also featured DJ Lee Marshall who kindly donated his time to give those at the fete lots of great music.
Fliss wanted to thank everyone that commuted their time to make the day a success. She said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes which were local businesses and parents.
“A very big thank you to everyone that helped and attended. The money gets spent on the children to do trips and other exciting things. so without everyone’s help it wouldn’t be possible. Thank you from all on the PTA.”
