BOSCASTLE Buoys presented a cheque for £4,000 to Cornwall Hospice Care (CHC) at their weekly meeting at the Napoleon Inn on Tuesday, November 26.
The group are a bunch of lads from the village who sing for charity across the local area, and in recent years have predominantly raised money for CHC who looked after former Boscastle Buoys Raymund Rogers and David Philp in their unsuccessful battles against cancer.
They were joined by The Coastal Belles for an evening of song as well as CHC representative Kelly Keat, who received the cheque on the charity’s behalf.
Also in attendance was well-known singer/songwriter Henry Safari.
The cheque meant that Boscastle Buoys have donated over £50,000 to the charity, with money coming from the pink bucket at events and donations.
Group member, Chris Edwards said: “It was a really good night where we had a sing-song, had a few beers, presented the cheque and started the new collection for CHC.
“We’d like to thank the Napoleon Inn landlord and staff for supporting us.”
