Will Aladdin ever realise what he really thinks about Alisha Baba and will Mustafa manage to outwit the evil Abanaza?
The answer to this and much more besides is given by Boscastle Amateur Dramatics (BAD) in this year’s pantomime which explores the story of Aladdin and Alisha (aka Ali) Baba.
Rehearsals started at the beginning of October with many of the traditional cast and some new members, and the show will now to be staged between January 25 and 28 at 7.30pm with a matinee on January 28 at 2.30pm.
A crew member said: “This version of a traditional story is set in a glittering Arabia with the evil Abanaza tricking two innocent ladies out of their magic lamp.
“After twelve years of wealth and easy living he manages to lose the lamp and we then follow the lamp journey as it passes through various hand. Along the way we meet a number of wild animals and other magical beings.
