MEMBERS of Holsworthy Area Sports Pavilion (HASP) were delighted to be chosen recently by Co-op to be one of the benefactors of its community fund.

Lyndon Piper, chair of HASP, said: “A huge thank you Co-op and the community of Holsworthy for supporting us. The pavilion is becoming a popular and established facility within the community and the committee is looking to turn its attention to one of the project’s main aims which is to increase sport and recreation opportunities for all people of the town and wider areas.”

Lyndon said the Co-op funding, which totalled £2,632.01, will be allocated to aiding new and emerging healthy lifestyle activities in the town.

Lyndon added: “We would be very keen to hear what sports or activities the people of Holsworthy and surrounding areas would like to see provided in the town. If you have any ideas whatsoever relevant to sport and healthy lifestyle activities we would be keen to hear from you.”
