SCAM letters from people posing as the People's Postcode Lottery are still circulating the Forest.
A Lydney resident, who didn't wish to be named, received a letter saying she had won £825,000 which could be released once she paid an upfront 'processing fee'.
She said: "The first thing I wanted to do with the letter when I received it was throw it away. It's clearly a scam but I know there are people who will send the processing fee. As the old saying goes, if something is too good to be true then it usually is."
The letter is a replica of one that a Buckshaft resident received in March and on which the Review reported.
Deputy head of communications of People's Postcode Lottery, Rachel Ruxton said: "If you receive one of these letters, phone calls, SMS messages or emails, then we strongly advise the public to treat these communications as scams and they should be ignored.
"Legitimate lotteries, such as People's Postcode Lottery will not, under any circumstances, request a payment in order to receive your 'winnings'. If you are at all suspicious, then contact our customer service team on 0808 1098765."
