Hundreds of visitors were attracted to the village of Cosheston on Saturday for a family fun day event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
The Valero-sponsored Cosheston Village Day ran from lunchtime right through until the evening at Cosheston Playing Fields.
Events included Cosheston School fete, a display of Second World War military vehicles and costumes, stalls and exhibits by the Sunderland Trust and the Penfro Model Club, plus an exhibition on Cosheston during the Second World War by the Cosheston History Group.
In addition, there was a rounders tournament, afternoon tea with live music by the Penfro Minstrel String Ensemble, a performance by the One Voice community choir, as well as live music from Pembroke's Shanty Le Hara and the Numbers Racket Swing Band.
The village day, the fourth held in Cosheston, drew even larger crowds than previous years, with a couple of hundred people joining in with the family fun.
