A CAKE sale and tea afternoon hosted by the 1st Lifton Beaver Scouts has raised funds towards the building of a new community hall.

The Beaver Scouts held the afternoon in the church hall on Saturday, February 25, and £160 was raised.

Lifton Community Centre chairman Tony Phillips was pleased to hear of the continued support of the Beaver Scouts. He said: “They helped us from way back when we have had fetes, serving people teas and fetching things for us over the past few years. They have done a brilliant job.”
