SOLDIERS dressed in Napoleonic era 2nd Foot Regiment battledress greeted distinguished guests at Farnham House Hotel on St George's Day.
The occasion was the Army Benevolent Fund Farnham hub's commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo with a charity dinner and film night.
The event raised more than £2,000 towards the benevolent fund's care of injured servicemen and attracted 75 guests including the mayors of Farnham, Waverley and Guildford, many of whom donned 1815 period costume or mess dress for the occasion.
