VOLUNTEERS came out in force to help collect rubbish at the Staddon Road Village Clean Up organised by Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council on April 21.

Eighteen volunteers gave up their time on the sunny Saturday morning to come out and clean up in the areas of Staddon Road, Winterland Lane and Chasty.

The volunteers collected up litter and rubbish from the pavements and verges as well as cleaning the road signs and sign posts.

They were treated to bacon rolls and hot dogs once they had finished working and thanks were expressed Sylvia Argyrou and Paula West for cooking the food.

Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council also expressed its thanks to all the volunteers who came both to this event and to the previous one held in Chilsworthy on April 14.
