JOHN Heard is holding the Silver Award the Brewery received at the Peterborough Beer Festival, the second largest festival in the country. The award was for the Tintagel Brewery Castle Gold and Castle Rock Harvest Pale Beers. Darren Norbury, Cornwall Camra Branch Chairman, is holding the certificate awarded to John for his Cornwall Pride, an easy quaffing beer with a good flavour. In September this new beer received a Bronze Award at the Cornwall County Beer Festival at Falmouth. Tintagel Brewery was opened by John and Liz Heard, in a converted milking parlour at Condolden Farm, near Tintagel in April 2009. Using the farm's own spring water, locally sourced malt and English hops, the Brewery's suite of Real Ales has become very popular throughout Cornwall and North Devon and is much appreciated by a thriving London market as well.

BREWERY: At the Tintagel Brewery on Saturday, November 20 are John Heard, the owner of Tintagel Brewery, and Darren Norbury, Chairman of the Cornwall Branch of Camra, who are surrounded by members of Camra from all over Cornwall including Hayle, Stithians, Threemilestone, Truro, Crantock, St Austell, Polgooth and Polperro.
