The Launceston & District Cats Protection ‘Autumn Fayre’ was a huge success thanks to the support of the town.
Fundraising team leader Sue Medland said: “A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our Cats Protection Autumn Fayre that was held on Saturday, October 21.
“This year we’d decided to hold it at Kensey Vale Bowling Club and it would be part jumble and part good quality so there would be something for everyone.
“From selling donated goods plus delicious refreshments, Cats Protection Christmas calendars, diaries and cards along with raffle tickets for a superb hamper packed full of goodies, we raised an amazing £1,135. This amount, which includes some generous donations and pre-sales money, will help enormously with caring for cats and kittens at our local branch.
“The feedback from volunteers was all positive, the venue was ideal and location good, with the added bonus of free parking. We’re grateful to everyone who played a part, both beforehand and on the day, in achieving such a good result! To be frank, your help is invaluable.
“Thank you also to Wendy at Kensey Vale Bowling Club for practical advice with organising.”
