Pembrokeshire's very own free surf experience for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder is set to return to the waves this Sunday (June 7). The event has been incredibly popular with families from across Wales registering to take part in the one-day event held on Tenby's South Beach.

Organisations across UK, both large and small have been getting behind the project, enabling the team to deliver this truly unique experience.

"Splash Out is fundamentally about offering these children experiences that our surf buddies love and have access to on a daily basis," said co-founder, Angelo Fecci. "We are extremely grateful to all of the organisations who have become involved to make our 2015 event so special".

Autism surf camps are highly popular across the globe and have had significant impacts in adopting calmer temperaments, enhanced confidence and learning how to develop trust in others. Surf camps allow participants to reduce anxiety levels whilst being introduced to a new sport and way of life.

However, Splash Out is not just about surfing. Teaching life skills and core water and beach safety play a major part in the event's make-up. The day is delivered by a team of volunteer Surf Buddies consisting of surf industry staff and lifeguards.
